And meh. Prob doesn’t touch his value at all

Exactly. His pitch count was low and this is the first game of the series. Use the bullpen as little as possible. If we weren’t about to trade him, nobody would question sending him out there for the 7th. And those three runs won’t change his trade value.

You know I called it before it happened and gave you sound reasons why while the rest of you were saying it's only 60 pitches. And you think I'm the bad guy.  Sheesh .

Ahem . Stupid to leave him in.   It's almost like they decided not to trade him .I hate being right when it means Hauser got touched up to spoil a great outing .

are you serious? he was at 68 pitches with an 11 run lead. Nobody in pro baseball is pulling him there. He needed to preserve the pen not his ERA; the trade value is untouched either way. It was a solid start with hard contact last two innings.

I'm pretty sure teams can process the context of Houser throwing a bad pitch late in a blowout.

Sucks that it tips his ERA over 2, but he wasn't returning 2 ERA ace value anyway because teams look at more than box scores.

Teams would rather see him go deep than care about if he gives up a meaningless 3-run homer in a blow out.

lol it’s hilarious that a 3-run homer suddenly changes his value that drastically

That’s fine but to think it suddenly changes his trade value is hilarious

This page is way more rational than the previous page

Hopefully Houser is moved before his next start and leaves on a high note after this strong performance.

It doesn’t.  It’s just a bit annoying.

Hey Schriffen said Veek correctly.

Why are you watching the Cubs broadcast? These are the kinda games where Schriffen’s over enthusiasm is great haha

I even thought I might be over reacting. I was in the middle of typing maybe he gets out of it  when McGuire hit the HR.

6 Shut out innings meant more to his trade value then 6.2 of 3 run ball, that's for sure.

There was 0 reason to keep him in. Personally I think Houser mentally checked out of the game thinking he would be removed after 6. All of a sudden he lost his command despite the pitch count.

I kinda doubt any starter thinks he’s getting removed after 6 innings and like 60 pitches. Especially in today’s game.
