Most people are expecting some of the White Sox players to be moved at the trading deadline. Hopefully Jordan Leasure will be moved off this team.

They bounced back after that middle game in Tampa, will be a good test to see what they do tomorrow.

Maybe getting the offense/bullpen struggles all out in one game will turn out better than letting them trickle into a bunch of 1-2 run losses?

I can't hate the guy because he's not a good baseball owner. He's running his business as a way to provide for his kids and employees. I'm sure lots of the regular people he has kept on for many years love the guy. 

He's just conservative with not wanting to pile up debt which is a sound way to run most any business, just not a baseball team.

Winning one of the 3 was realistic , 2 would be exceptional.

I find it hard to believe JR doesn't run things exactly the way he wants to. He's not taking business advice from Chris Getz. He knows his life is nearly over and he always said his sons would sell the Sox after he died. 

Getz was hired because he was right there and cheap . So JR probably liked him and he was a hire of covenience. I've said many times after the failed rebuild that once the Ishbias got involved JR entered into the estate planning phase of his life. 

The Ishbia's were minority owners with minimal invested but looking to buy a team so they made a play for the Twins but then JR said look guys if you rather buy the Sox than the Twins let's work something out because the Sox are worth more and we are more solvent than the Twins. 

So if JR was the key figure in the Ishbias being the next owners , I'd like to say thank you at least for that too. Not  in a sarcastic way because it should mean the Sox will have very rich owners soon enough.

Jerry was going to cut.  Revenues crashed while expenses blew up from like 2020 to 2022.  2025 was the cherry on the sundae with on top with no TV money for half a season.  They picked the wrong direction with every decision they made starting with the LaRussa hire, and they paid for it, quite literally. 

Taylor opening for Burke tomorrow, which would explain him not being used tonight.

Burke has pitched much better with an opener this season (3 outings).

Should be a BP day for the Cubs, so hopefully this was just a blip for the bats.

The thing about MLB is you can just throw money at problems and if/when that doesn't work you can throw some more. There's no having to navigate cap space or match salaries in trades. Plus you can't mortgage your future in the same way because you can't trade non-comp draft picks.

You could still make shortsighted trades of prospects I guess, but I'm not going to mind Ishbia cash being available to keep/acquire/maximize talent.

It's not just our side either, cub fans were chanting "Pudge loves men" on Waveland during the 2003 nlcs.  a heads up would be nice on what's allowable.  WSI is barren now because they ban everything.  Free speech is a good thing.

as far as tonight's game goes, it sucked.  Petrina crow armstrong is a chump.  Jane Horton was too hard to hit.  We shouldn't be losing to Craigrina Counsell's team, how embarrassing.  We're only up 1 in the all time series now (never discount 1906).  If we lose tomorrow, we lose the series 1-5, which I don't think ever happened before.  This is terrible, we dominated them from 1985-97, WTF happened now.

 

(I was purposely exaggerating with the names, btw, before anyone is ready to REEEEE.  Relax.)

Your posts are lukewarm dogwater.  Maybe they are appealing if you have nothing better and are thirsty,  but almost all aspire to something better.

Yep.  My kids are older and play football but both of my close friends’ younger kids that play LL baseball want to be PCA.

Wouldn’t surprise me if, long-term , Vasil and Taylor are in the rotation and Burke and Martin are in the pen. 
For now, Vasil and Taylor need development; Eisert et al need to be showcased.  So the bullpen usage is likely to be a bit odd.

Leasure has been a major disappointment. 

Most embarrassing home run call ever: After Tauchmann homered (nice treat for the fans to see the exploding scoreboard in the 9th), our play by play guy bellowed: "This is where the comeback starts for the Sox."

Cmon, it was 6-0 and that made it 6-1. Tell us what it was ... a cute reward for sox fans who stuck around. Geez. I know he's paid by the team but that's a homer call.
