A few weeks later, Syndergaard said in an interview with Todd Frazier that he got "shafted" by the White Sox organization.

"I kind of got shafted a little bit, not that my performance was anything to brag about. But there was like, I don't know how many starting pitchers they had on their roster. I was kind of the odd man out," said Syndergaard in an interview with Foul Territory.

"I only got two starts and I was kind of just hanging out there, because not competing for two years and going into a high stress environment...let me tell you the minor leagues freaking suck."

Hard to argue with Thor considering the Sox continue to employ Clevinger and may even call him up soon.

He had a 10 ERA in Charlotte and was topping out at like 91. No one screwed him over.

Actually, it's very easy to argue with Thor. The guy who wrote the article made it clear that Thor had nothing really to complain about. He wanted a chance back in MLB; the article said only the White Sox would give him one. It was a long-shot chance and both sides knew that. 

Thor was given his chance and he was terrible. The White Sox paid him for his time and released him. Again, the article makes it clear he wasn't shafted at all. 

Now to your comment: What does Clevenger have to do with any of Thor's complaint or issue? The Sox continue to employ a whole lot of pitchers who are not Thor. Your point makes no sense at all.

Doesn't he have an agent to tell him these things? Like that there's a bunch of competition? What was he expecting? Like, bro, could've googled "white sox organization pitchers". Of course, anyone is better than Clevinger, but performance wise, Syndergaard isn't and the Sox obviously don't care that Clev is a scoundrel.

I'm having a hard time seeing how the White Sox tricked, cheated, or treated Syndergaard unfairly in the way they handled his contract. It'd be one thing if the White Sox held him captive in the minor leagues or made promises they didn't fulfill, but this was a minor league deal for a reason.

Syndergaard got paid roughly $40,000 to play five weeks of minor league baseball. Most of that time was spent in Arizona. He only made two starts against real minor league competition, and as soon as it was clear the Sox wouldn't be calling him up, they let him go.

Mike Clevinger is still employed.  It's clown shoes throughout and led by Getz.  It's impossible to think Thor has anything left, but he might be just saying why is Clevinger here and I'm not?

...because Clevenger has something left...? I'm willing to bet Noah Syndegaard doesn't care anything about Clevenger's personal problems. You know, as long as we're making up things he could be thinking.

Watch the first 5 minutes of the video. It's clear from the words actually spoken by the man that he was not shafted and that the Sox gave him an opportunity that he himself knew was a long shot. He then goes on to talk about how he can't pitch like he used to and knows it is something in his head that is causing that.

You already know the point.  The Sox have employed a scumbag lowlife for three years straight who has had both issues with previous teammates and women.  Would any other team but the Sox even sign Clevinger at this point?  The Sox aren’t very good judges of either baseball talent or of good humanity in general.

Whatever Clevenger "has left" doesn't justify him taking up a roster spot at any level. It's silly to pretend pro athletes think the exact same things we do.

Shafted would be him performing well, not getting called up when the need arose, and the Sox not letting him seek opportunity elsewhere. But none of that happened. He sucked, and even admits it. Total non-story.

Then who's fault is that?  Jerry is running the team or Getz has no authority over the roster or anything else.  I know if fits the narrative that Getz cannot be faulted because he's handcuffed by the owner or he hasn't had enough time to fail at anything.

If you own a home, and hire somebody to design a porch, they don't get to tell you to STFU and do whatever they want to your property. Conversely, when a person owns a baseball team, the GM serves at the owner's pleasure. 

I really don't get this "Getz has no authority" BS. Every single GM in baseball gets a budget, and even guys like Cashman, Dombrowski and Friedman get their leashes tugged from time to time. With a lockout looming, all GMs are finding out they aren't these renegade swinging dicks we all fantasize them being.

The owner signs off on all decisions. I'm not sure why this is so hard to follow. I would hope you do that with your own home.
