100 losses here we come!

With the Padres and Yankees coming up and fighting for playoff positioning the Sox may yet have another double-digit losing streak in them.

These were the games to win. Sad. But also...prefer the draft odds.

I was looking at the wild card standings and noticed that the Rockies are 1-9 in their last 10 games but they have 41 wins for the year which is how many games our Sox won last season. I know that it goes without saying but good lord, that was an awful 2024 squad and they had Crochet. This year's team should win about 20 more games and still lose 100. Ugghhhh.

This years team is probably going to lose 100 again. Its going to take another 20 game improvement next season just to get to .500. When you look at the roster currently, its likely were returning the same team next season. That's a pretty lofty ask for them to improve ANOTHER 20 wins, and would take steps forward by almost every single young player which probably isn't realistic.

On the offensive side, there really isn't a lot of room to add someone without pushing out a young player. The pitching though is a disaster, how much money gets spent on that in the offseason? If not, you are relying on improvement from the staff we already have and a bunch of guys coming off of TJS.
