If Padres win today, I legit would start Miller and let him go as long as he feels ok

Looking for a Josh Beckett-like run?

Yep, I don’t think you pull him when they did if they don’t plan on him going tomorrow.

Sheets would have dropped that

Whew!

Nice defense

Rodon off to a great start

Miller really threw 104.5? Holy s%*#.

Like how the Sox planned on using Crochet in 2020?

The most innings he's thrown this year is 1.2. You think they'll let him possibly go to 50-60 pitches?

Padres starting Darvish over King

Schittler tmrw if Yanks make it to G3

Fathom has lost it lol...

Despite saying they want to use Miller as a starter, tmrw is not the day to start that experiment.

Not having thrown as many pitches today and also gone yesterday...

Romy Gonzalez appearance

Yu Darvish is 5-7 with an ERA of 3.77 and 61 strikeouts in 13 appearances in the postseason in his career

Padres also will have King and Vasquez in the bullpen.

Morgan and B.Rodriguez both have big arms as well.

J.Estrada obviously moves up on the priority list.

33 pitches Morejon/27 MMiller

McGuire/Turner the main Cubs’ hitters with success against M.King

not starting him doesn't exactly help make the Padres' case for retaining him as a FA though...maybe they already have a sense he's gone

Jeremiah Estrada
Coachella Valley Jeremiah Estrada is joining the San Diego Padres. Estrada was removed from the Cubs' 40-man roster on Friday, sending him to the waivers. The Padres claimed Estrada on Monday.

Let's hope this comes back to bite the Cubs tmrw after he didn't pitch well in G1...

Saw a WGN reporter saying how it's so hard to dislike PCA because he's so mature and humble.

Must be watching a totally different player.

Heard a story on MLB Network Radio in early May that Turner told PCA that his swing might be working now, but the dead pull stuff needs to change because he'll get abused.  PCA told him to go f*** himself.  Hmmm.....

Someone on this site mentioned that his strikeouts were being overlooked because he was making so much good contact.

and, well….

Preller will just trade for more relievers

now where have we seen that before?

Didn't see the game but Cease at 3.2 IP?  Do they not have confidence in him?

yesterday someone wanted him fired

a bit different story today after how dominant M.Miller was

Btw, Leo de Vries will be a solid player ... but not a superstar imo.  Probably moves to third.  And he isn't a speed burner, so a four tool player.

Not 100% .

Although his best postseason start by far.

Dylan would have definitely knocked out the Dodgers when they were leading that NLD series 2-1 and had a bullpen game...had he actually pitched that well a year ago.

Probably upped his FA value by $25-50 million tiday. if they don't make it to the next round.

Yankees/Rodon on the ropes...

Boone's last game as NY manager?

Looked pretty smart there.

Not like Justin Turner knows what he's talking about or anything...

And then he for some insane reason brought Rodon out to start the 7th.  Boone is really bad at this.

Lots of trust issues with that bullpen...Doval Bednar Williams have all had their share of struggles.

Story just missed that.
