If the Tigers and Cubs win game 5s, I’m done with baseball this season. Won’t care.

Man i haven't stopped smiling the past 5 minutes. So happy for Vaughn to play on a real roster, and doubly happy for him fucking up the Cubs

I'm not sure why Counsell is letting Keller possibly go 2 innings when up 5.

Why in the world did they select Gasser over Myers?  He’s one of the worst pitchers I’ve watched this year

Because Murphy already knows it’s over.  No matter what decision he makes, the Cubs are completing the historic comeback.

3/35 odds historically

last team 2017 Red Sox

lose first two in a five game series and rally back to win

It’s going to happen again.  Nothing can stop this Cubs train now.

Do Brewers bring back Counsell and Stearns if they lose G5?

Just kidding...although resigned looks of befuddlement and desperation abound when you lose.

Thomson will probably get fired in Philly just because they can't get over the hump and their core is aging or out the door (Schwarber, maybe to FA).

The main reason would be Roki Sasaki...who basically disappeared from the face of the earth for 4 1/2 months as his FB dipped to 93 mph.  Then was miraculously reinvented.

Fathom might even bring back the Cubs Thread if they somehow beat the Dodgers...although not going to predict that one happening.

Nah, he’ll be too depressed to post.

"And it sent the Dodgers to the NL Championship Series for the seventh time in 10 years, their hopes of becoming Major League Baseball's first repeat champions in a quarter century still very much in play."

That is only the second time a playoff series ended on a walk off error, the other being the 2016 ALDS-1 when the Rangers' Rougned Odor committed the error that let ...

"That was just an awful sequence for Kerkering, his teammates, and Phillies fans everywhere. The error also made history.

The Phillies' loss to the Dodgers was the first postseason series in history to end in a walk-off error. That's a fact that adds insult to injury for everyone involved.

Los Angeles now moves on to its fourth NLCS in the last six seasons."

The Brewers have been the better team in 3 of the 4 games. They’re very clearly still a better overall team than the Cubs. That plus going back home outweighs whatever momentum the Cubs have right now IMO. I’d be very surprised if the Cubs win.

And this is not just some Cubs hate nonsense or whatever. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Cubs advance. I just don’t think they’re good enough to win 3 straight vs the Brewers.

I was saying some pretty unsavory things at the end of that Dodgers game, that much I can tell you.

I don’t see any way that the World Series is anything but Dodgers-Blue Jays.

Off day today. He'll be fine tomorrow.

Will depend on if Skubal can pitch three times.

The NL division series myriad of off seems to warranted the cubs going Boyd game 1 but Tallion twice in the series would have been a better call..

Crazy how poorly that DET has been hitting, but still on the precipice of the ALCS...and it's not all on the back of Skubal either.

please win, Mariners...!!!!

otherwise, JR is going to simply argue that a max $140-150 million payroll is good enough to win consistently in the AL Central...$115-130 million good enough to beat CLE KC MINN and finish in 2nd 3rd 4th

If Seattle can beat Skubal four times in one year....surely that's never happened to a Cy Young winner?

Has to be annoying that a Seattle University product is doing so well for another organization.

Scouting.

Like Trout getting away from the Mets Yankees Phillies.

Or Pujols from a KC JC to St.Louis.

Naylor is hyped...lol.

Mariners 64% chance to win not accounting for home field

Naylor is so good at stealing third despite being slow.

Crazy only catcher A.Kirk has lower sprint speed in the entire majors.

Reminiscent of Burger having higher sprint speeds than Moncada.

Absolutely incredible throw by Cal Raleigh

60 pitches already...

White Sox middle infielders need to study that tag...absorbing ball going right into runner instead of reaching out jabbing and trying to pull backwards
