Looks like they're not 100% in on Mune Murakami as of yet at 3B. LAD "stuck" with Freeman/Ohtani at DH...eventually Betts. What on earth are you even talking about

If the Dodgers really wanted Mune in two years, they could outbid everyone quite easily. And they might still end up trading for him if Muncy gets hurt this year or next. Hes not even going to play 3B for the Sox. What are you talking about? Plus, his free agency still lines up with Freeman’s if they really wanted a spot for him.

And all of the consternation in the last 2-3 years is Muncy would have no effect on whether the Dodgers decide to pursue Mune or not. Oh, and Wes Parker, Von Joshua and Billy Grabarkewitz.

Oh, and Wes Parker, Von Joshua and Billy Grabarkewitz. Wow...impressive attempt. Are you still complaining about the Padres spending too much money last year? Or sore the Elko attendance boost never materialized?

Oh, and Wes Parker, Von Joshua and Billy Grabarkewitz. Btw Murakami has played 763 games in his career at third already. By his mid 20s. Which is a LOT more than guys such as Viciedo had at the position...before the White Sox threw them out there at 3B. Murakami clearly wasn't going to play 1B DH with the Dodgers...not with Freeman Ohtani and eventually Betts getting more DH at bats. Edited February 17Feb 17 by caulfield12

I guess they're ready to take on the Dodgers. LOL. Oh, Johnny Jeter, Nate Colbert, Tom Phoebus.

You're just jealous that guys like Laureano OHearn Sheets etc. offered up positive offensive contributions last year. Or Pivetta's bargain basement contract, because the GM actually waited on the market instead of targeting guys in November. This year Getz had no choice but to wait as he had to dump Robert for the reknowned switch hitting Acuna first to free up salary. Also, since we're speaking of Murakami at third base, I seem to remember almost NOBODY predicting Colson Montgomery would be able to play above average MLB SS. Btw, not even with Chris Getz as GM and a $300 million budget could anyone in that division compete with LA.... Edited February 17Feb 17 by caulfield12

Am I watching Citizen Kane, where Preller signs away the entire opposing team? LOL. Everybody with a brain knew Colson could play SS. You predicted he couldn't. Deal with it. There was certainly nobody predicting above average MLB defense out of Colson. The majority of talk was 3B 1B corner outfield and DH.
February 17Feb 17 PEORIA, AZ — San Diego Padres All-Star third baseman Manny Machado, having watched the bitter rival Los Angeles Dodgers dominate the NL West – and enter the season with a payroll exceeding $400 million – not only declined to criticize the Dodgers’ expenditures, but praised the organization. “I (expletive) love it," Machado said Sunday morning. “I think every team should be doing it. They’re figured out a way to do it, and the (stuff) is (expletive) great for the game honestly. I think every team has the ability to do it. So, I hope all 30 teams could learn from it." USAtoday.com

Colson Montgomery is going to be the opening day SS. If he gets injured, or falls off tragically, they have Bergolla, Bonemer and Carlson behind him, and they'll probably draft a SS at #1 this year. Are you expressing anxiety in a non-Sox hot stove string that the White Sox will field a team without a shortstop at some point in the future?
February 17Feb 17 It's great to see I don't need to reply for days, and these same ridiculous arguments keep happening.

It sure seems like Colson can handle the SS position. If he gets moved off of SS to 3B or another position, it will likely be due to one or both reasons below: 1.) Roch Cholowsky being called up to the majors. 2.) More back issues a la Greedy Joe Crede. But those wouldn’t be talent-related issues. Edited February 17Feb 17 by WhiteSox2023
February 17Feb 17 This could have a major impact on the upcoming labor negotiations with the news that Tony Clark is resigning as the head of the MLBPA.
