February 12Feb 12 Other than the Dodgers Mets and maybe the Blue Jays....just no way those guys can find five other owners to block middle and small markets from getting to 22/30 on the future labor agreement. Who would they possibly be? Red Sox, Cubs, Phillies (maybe), Yankees (maybe), Giants, Angels, Tigers, Braves, Rangers, Astros? Just not seeing even five from that group at this point in time ...
February 12Feb 12 Author Astros, Pirates Have Discussed Joey Bart - MLB Trade Rumors Joey Bart's name had come up in discussions with the Astros about Isaac Paredes. Now that could mean that Bart was the 3rd PTBNL, or the headliner.

The owner fight will be bigger than the owner vs player fight imo. Some of these small market clubs won’t be willing to spend to whatever the salary floor would even be with a salary cap.

February 12Feb 12 I never cared for Castellanos as a player. He is legit dangerous on fastballs down in the zone, but there are holes up and he is one of the worst outfielders I have ever seen. Sox do not need a short side platoon DH with character questions on their young team, imho.
