It would be interesting to see what kind of damage control is going on behind the scenes. Regardless of the reason, not a good look to the rest of the league.

When there are reports out there of them meeting with Tray at same time Max was in the building - just not a good look.

And decisions have consequences. Teams will be more hesitant to trade with the Ravens. Players may be more hesitant to agree to terms with the Ravens. It also has created much more of a mess for teams than people realize. We know by reporting that multiple teams were in on Crosby. He was one of the first dominos to fall, trade was agreed to and the multiple teams that were involved in the talks pivoted to signing and agreeing to terms with other players to fill their roster. With the salary Crosby has, there has to be some planning involved in getting his contract to work with the rest of the roster. For a trade of this magnitude, and with the current injury state Crosby is in, medicals should have been reviewed before a deal was formally announced. Yep, totally fair assessment. Admittedly I was initially only looking at it through the lens of “teams will always exploit loopholes for a competitive advantage.”

But the timeframe orgs select GMs is pretty silly
April 7Apr 7 Author Man this would have been a great draft with the two extra comp picks. Really sucks the NFL screwed the Bears over some BS definition of control.

It wasn't punitive to Atlanta, there is truly no "victim" by awarding the picks to the Bears. The NFL simply fucked the Bears, there is really no other way to view it, it's so cut and dry.

Everything happened exactly the way that the NFL wanted it to happen, and then poof. It's like they pissed someone off. Either that or they are scared of being seen as DEI by you know who.
Wednesday at 04:48 PM1 day Brad Biggs on the score this morning said he got a call from a guy he knows and he was told the bears are working on a small move upwards, Biggs guessed between 20-23. Have to think they are ready to pounce if another team makes a specific move that sets it off

The team immediately in front of the Bears is at #24, and that is one slot NOT mentioned.

I'd honestly rather double or even triple dip on DL with their first 4.

I feel like the difference in talent between 25(depending on if someone drops) is not that much different than say 35. Though falling to the end of the 1st would be more ideal to pick up the extra year of control.
