March 5Mar 5 Think I'd rather the Bears actually keep the picks, get creative with a Trey Hendrickson deal in FA.

March 5Mar 5 I'll also say - if Bears could flip Swift for anything like Lions got for Montgomery, I would be fine with that and than basically see if you can go after Kenneth Walker or one of the other FA backs. Than again, I have no idea how Montgomery went for what he did.
March 5Mar 5 I will absolutely miss DJ Moore a ton - dude played hard every game and battled through it. Also glad he is ending up in a good spot. Getting a late 2nd rounder is a nice thing (I think I saw where we also got a pick next year but maybe that was wrong). I expect Edmunds for a 5th (Giants is my guess) and than hopefully we get the Cunningham 3rd's (26 and '27).

Most important ability is availability and neither Rome or Luther showed this trait last year. That is the only risk here and a 2 is great get for that price. Kmet becomes more important with LT up in the air and Colson is WR3 but could be #1 target if Rome and Luther are not on the field.

Still have Zaccheus, but really need a multi-threat back like the Chiefs are probably going to draft out of ND...
March 5Mar 5 Very worried when there are now reports Raiders have a few teams offering 2 FRP for Crosby. That terrifies me. I would do our '26 and JJ or something like a FRP this year and a 2RP next year. If it is 2 FRP - at least be dumping Dayo's contract in it.

March 5Mar 5 I would like to see the Bears get more explosive in the return game too along with WR3. Rashid Shaheed would be awesome. One of if not the best returner in the game also is explosive (92 targets last season, 0 drops). Would be a nice WR3 who can stretch the field and return kicks. Or you can draft a kid to be that guy as well.

Speedy wide receiver/return specialist Rashid Shaheed is not close to a contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks and is expected to test the market when NFL free agency begins next week, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday afternoon

Not sure Poles has earned our trust, but I don’t see him overpaying for Crosby. His quotes seem to indicate taking a more measured approach, trying to walk that tight rope of getting better now, while also not making future years much harder with roster construction. Think he knows they have the QB and Coach locked down, which ideally gives them a somewhat long term window for success. Like almost every other fan, I’d be excited if they acquired Crosby, but I think we all know deep down it’s the fun move, but probably not the smartest

He’ll be turning 29 right before the season starts. It wouldn’t be a surprise if his best days are behind him. I wouldn’t go after Hendrickson either as he’s even older (31) unless he is cool with a one year deal. I’d rather just use draft capital on young players and keep the train rolling.
