Going to guess losing game 7 of the World Series hurt a little more.

  • IMO a significant storyline of 2025 was Vargas showing that he was good enough with the glove to play 3B in MLB. Where exactly he'd be on the spectrum from below average to above average, not so clear

I was listening to the game driving to Pigeon Forge. Lost reception in the 9th inning for about 30 mins and was expecting a loss. Nice to see the Win!

Very exciting Home Opener and a very memorable win for fans.

Great to beat the 2025 American League Champion BJays and Dylan Cease.

Loved the Sox walking them off. It was a great day.

Athletics in last place in MLB for at least one day.

1-5

White Sox Red Sox Padres Rockies

2-5

Cubs lose .DeLauter destroyed them.

And Horton left in the second inning with forearm soreness.

They can't afford many injuries in that rotation.

Boyd and Imanaga are shaky enough as it is.

The White Sox know very, very well what "forearm soreness" usually evolves into.

Or maybe his medicals are really a mess, or he's just trying to heal.

Embarrassing crowd. Will they even get 20K today in actual seats occupied?

What is the theory beyond using Taylor for 1 low-leverage inning?
Is this a prep for a different role? Or just what they think of him?

What earthly reason is that feeble old geezer hanging on for?

Ego and arrogance.

They want to get him innings for a possible transition to starting next year. I suspect the plan was for him to pitch into the 2nd today, but his first inning was so quick that they decided to just keep him available for tomorrow instead.

And now they're doing it again tomorrow! That's crazy!

Murakami should have come off the bag and tagged the runner in the 10th. I guess that's what happens when you don't have 33-year-old veterans on the roster. This is what "playing the kids" looks like. Good win, tho. (Sorry, had some drama all afternoon, watching the game full through, now)

That is such a quick play that no one is to blame. He tried to re-tag the base with his foot which shows that he was aware of what was happening. That play didn’t bother me at all.
