They aren't terrible losses in the grand scheme of things, but especially coming off of a pretty impressive road trip, you'd like to see them start winning more of these coin flips. 3 runs in regulati

  • Yeah it is what it is, the White Sox are trotting out pretty putrid offenses over the past couple years and if you have anything short of a fantastic reliever you're going to see a lot of painful outi

Just dfa him and bring up Kelenic.

He needs rehab games still, doesn’t he?

I mean probably not so much that you bother putting Jarred Kelenic on the 40 man just to take him back off and lose whoever you had to cut to make room for him (and lose Kelenic to the waiver wire potentially although I doubt it).

As for Colson in the clutch, to me we've got bad batted ball luck/small sample variation written all over it. Depending on which way you define it, it's <.150 BABIP and the Statcast metrics look just fine. And also FWIW, if you simply look at his "high leverage" splits, which doesn't really require late innings even though it helps, that's his best split with .960 OPS in high leverage.

Wouldn’t 7th inning and later basically be him facing lefty relievers or closer? I feel like I’ve seen most of his at bats and his career and really remember one big hit he got late.

dreaded closer in non closing situation

of course

How many of the losses are on the Pen?

He's only played 5 innings in the field, I'd guess he's still at least a few games out.

Glad we signed Dominguez, he's been great....

For once, would love it if they just signed a guy who’s actually been at their role for the large portion of their career

Doesn't really matter what the pen does when you score 0

I'm sure the pitchers faced are different in those innings and that it may have something to do with it but, for instance, he has a career .000 BABIP in the 9th inning which I doubt is totally attributable to the pitchers. I expect overmatched Colson to have a ton of strikeouts but that's not really what I see in the numbers (although a bit elevated).

Why is this White Sox offense so much better on the road. Very frustrating.

Didn’t want to jinx it before, but it sure seems like we’ve lost a lot of games with the ghost runner rule over the years due to two out excess runs (going from down 1 to 2)

still 6/8 in save opportunities lol

I'm tired of having 4-5 guys that are obviously not MLB quality getting big innings and big ABs. I no we have payroll constraints but come on.

Why is Romo batting?

It’s just a debacle

Somewhere, @vilehoopster is still telling himself that Dominguez’s save percentage is still good.

John c'mon

Down the pipe taken. High swung at

Real powerful swings there, good god

True but I'm asking. Cause it seems a lot

So did we just let Romo bat instead of Antonacci?

I'm really disliking the World Baseball Classic at this moment

I was mistaken. They are now 1-19 w/RISP the last 2 games. Tough to win like that.

no quality depth wonder who that's attributable to?

lol, another just awful AB.

Giving up 12-15 outs a game with minor league players trying to hit big league pitching.
