They aren't terrible losses in the grand scheme of things, but especially coming off of a pretty impressive road trip, you'd like to see them start winning more of these coin flips.

3 runs in regulation wins yesterday, and 1 in regulation wins today. Just 1 hit with RISP could have flipped either game.

So many complaints about the pitching, but they handed the offense a sweepable series. Lack of execution at the plate and it's two losses in extras instead.

It's that weird bad timing stat coming into play again. When the pitching staff does well the hitters suck and when the hitters do well the pitching sucks.

That's been problematic at home. It's just a disappointing series to come home and lay a bunch of goose eggs in front of a combined 60K people the last 2 days coming off an encouraging road trip.

  • Yeah it is what it is, the White Sox are trotting out pretty putrid offenses over the past couple years and if you have anything short of a fantastic reliever you're going to see a lot of painful outi

Did you see his terrible AB in the ninth? Oh yeah and Acuña can go fly a kite too. Dude sucks and tries to be a hotdog

Where does the hotdog stuff come from ? I keep seeing it.

Is it because he catches flyballs leaning to his left and it looks a bit different ? I havent seen anything overtly hotdoggish.

Well I hope he actually got that $1.2 million to cushion the blow a bit.

He's catching fly balls off to the left of his chest instead of lining up underneath it in front of his face. I've heard it commented (probably by Beckham) that being an infielder, that's now he sees the ball the best, angling his face some and catching the ball chest high. He seems fine in the field. A couple of mis-reads, needing to take charge and call off other fielders, but beyond that, he seems solid with the glove.

I agree with whoever said in the last couple of days, here, that Acuña's still probably trying to make the things work they've changed in his approach. His strikeout rate actually isn't bad. He just either hits everything on the ground, or right at somebody in the OF.

How many solid line drives has he hit all season?

Right that was my point .I mean if you want to hate on the guy and do the whole Queen of Hearts thing or your best Dennis Green impersonation because he's not producing ok fine, not my style ,but whatever but is it really that lean that people find offensive or have we missed something ? That's some ticky tacky 1970's old school reason to call someone a hotdog.
