Will be nice to get Hays and Teel back in the lineup in the not so distant future. Really want to get just one more talented player in the lineup from somewhere. For now, we wait for Braden which may be a long wait. They aren't terrible losses in the grand scheme of things, but especially coming off of a pretty impressive road trip, you'd like to see them start winning more of these coin flips.3 runs in regulation wins yesterday, and 1 in regulation wins today. Just 1 hit with RISP could have flipped either game.So many complaints about the pitching, but they handed the offense a sweepable series. Lack of execution at the plate and it's two losses in extras instead.

Last year, Jordan faced higher leverage situations than anyone on the team and did fine even if that meant on numerous occasions it didn't go well. This year it's been bad so far and we'll just have to see how it goes but he still doesn't really stand out to me as a very important problem with the team. Sox can hand over the third-best-righty-reliever duties to Tyler Davis or Wikelman or whoever but it's small potatoes IMO.FWIW, this year Seranthony leads MLB in highest leverage appearances. He deserves scrutiny as a highly paid veteran but he's also had a pretty tough set of circumstances to pitch in. But again, in his case that is exactly what the Sox paid him for even if a better team wouldn't so constantly be holding on for dear life. He was down a full mph today with worse movement on his pitches than normal so I wonder what that's about. I'm frankly not super worried about him though.

It is just so frustrating because I did think this bullpen would be much better than last year....alas it is not yet.

He often looks like he's trying to hit the big homer that gets the huge home crowd pop...but he's more likely to get the job done when he's not pressing so hard for it.On the road, he's 6-19 (3 XBH) with RISP. Nearly 1.000 OPS and 10 RBI....But at home he's 1-12 with 1 RBI and 6K.I think he'll sort it out though, and I care far more about that than what the various filler bats do.

Ideally they would have scored at any point in the first 9 innings so that he doesn't need to come in this one at all.

18 hours ago18 hr Sox starters are better than the relievers. Burke is seriously improved this year, so do they have to pull him under 80 pitches? Perhaps build up his stamina. On the relief, side, Taylor too. It's 1 inning and out.
