I disagree with that comparison; Colson doesn't have the walk totals that Dunn produced.

Colson is not a finished product at the plate and will need to make adjustments. At 24 yrs old he has his whole career ahead of him. Unfortunately both Mune and Colson are tanking at the same time.

The other big difference is that Colson is 24 years old and has only a little more than 1 season under his belt. Dunn was 32 when the Sox signed him and, as typical for the Sox, on the edge of a huge drop off in production.

We'll see if Montgomery can make adjustments.

Adam Dunn as a plus defensive shortstop is a hall of famer - just to be clear - and this is coming from someone who was not a big Adam Dunn fan. For past 1-2 months though, he has been White Sox Adam Dunn vs. Reds version. We need the Reds version at the plate. I think the tool(s) and talent are there, but he's a streaky guy who when he gets into a funk he gets into it bad. I think in time he'll figure out how to better stay out of those issues - but unfortunately he isn't there yet.
