I don't think his delivery is funky enough like Sale's or Crochet's to truly baffle hitters. His stuff seems similar to theirs, but he doesn't have the command those 2 had.

I don’t think his change up is anywhere near that of Sale’s

Ah, Wednesday is a day game. I just got a ticket for tmr's game instead. Section 140 row 9. Right at the edge of visiting dugout down there. Ticket was 60 and had a promo code for 10 off, not bad at a

Luckily, so are the Sox after this trip.

I mean, he should be through 2 scoreless with 3K

Sox (rightly, I think) see extension as an injury red flag so they probably wouldn't risk messing up his motion and possibly his health by pushing him for extension. Would probably move his release point closer to normal as well.

Yeah he looks good so far

Definitely not. Sale had incredible stuff from the get-go pretty much. Schultz has a lot to work on.

Acuna must be 0-20 in games I’ve watched

While I don't really think Schultz is all that close to the level of Sale, he might have a little different results if he was making his MLB debut as a reliever (especially in the era when you could pull a guy in fewer than 3 batters if you wanted)

I think I've seen him get a hit once.

imagine if Acuña could bunt, he might actually have an OBP around .300ish

We all expected him to try for a double, right?

Ant Man officially over 300! .301

Sam is like a 60/65 spray hitter, it's amazing.

I thought JRod was trying to bait him

I really thought he was going to try but probably playing shy after that first inning blunder

His approach is everything you want in a lead off hitter.

They love naturally high extension, but they don't force it. Bannister is very big on leaning into guys' natural biomechanics.

A rare single

Ok 1-2 punch time Vargas can lift one

Catcher just tried also

Not sure how that swing didn’t make contact

Feels like Woo pretty much lives in the shadow zone.

Terrible at bat

Yikes.
