Wasn’t it Crawford in the last series against Seattle that did the exact same thing Sam did?

Ah, Wednesday is a day game. I just got a ticket for tmr's game instead. Section 140 row 9. Right at the edge of visiting dugout down there. Ticket was 60 and had a promo code for 10 off, not bad at a

Can't get too rattled by the ump show, would like to see them regroup and rally third time through.

He was in the direct path INTENTIONALLY CREATED BY the runner who had zero need to turn that wide.

NOBODY NATURALLY RUNS IN THAT WAY UNLESS THEY ARE SEEKING CONTACT.

It’s Busch league bullshit and if you’re not able to see it then you’re blind.

Regardless, Antonacci allowed himself to be played by not paying attention with his glove up his ass.

I think he's a little too aggressive, but he's not dumb imo. Situational awareness needs to improve though.

I don't think he is dumb, either. I just think he makes very questionable/overly aggressive decisions in cases where there is no reason to be doing so.

My guy he was standing smack dab in the middle of the base path with his back turned to the runner.

Antonacci is basically Nick Madrigal but a better hitter. Baseball smarts aren't always there

I think Antonacci has one of the highest baseball IQs in the team.

Bro must be concussed tonight though.

Banana Ball!

He got away with them at lower levels, and played very little baseball at upper levels. He'll learn, and quickly I think.

THATS MY BANANA!

Wow Peters!

I don't think Romo knows we have ABS challenges with the way he's catching the game tonight.

Yep game will hopefully slow down for him a bit.

He was close enough to draw the call. I don’t think the turn was anything egregious

He ran towards FUCKING LEFT FIELD MAN - it wasn’t even close. That is NOT how anyone naturally runs from second to third.

NEVER. Not even close!

J-Rod has been doing s%*# like that all year. Guy is a little b****.

He’s Banadian.

Nice change up there.

He has to command that sweeper better. Everything else has been way better tonight

He was in the direct path of the runner. Not sure how we can argue against the call. All in on giving home being bs though.

Is one of the runner’s legs longer than the other? In no normal route was Sam in the way. It was bushleague bullshit and the fucking umps awarded it (after JUST fucking Sam for what could be called bushleague bullshit (if the drop was intentional)).

Tonight has actually confirmed my feelings. Nobody who is baseball dumb thinks to drop that liner on purpose. Nobody who is baseball dumb notices the 3B is well off the bag and tries to steal an extra base on a walk. Yes, it didn’t work out, and he’ll be the first to tell you it wasn’t the right time with nobody out and 3/4/5 coming up, but he’s a really smart baseball player.

Sorry, I disagree man - dude was in no way wrong. It’s like if someone comes up and punches you in the face after you’re just standing there… you’re going to fault the dude standing there? Nope.

I agree. He’s an aggressive player. He takes a lot of risks but there’s thought behind them whether they work out or not.

for now he just needs to calm down honestly.

A dumb player wouldn't look for any of those things. You're right. The aggression is probably a bit too much though at the ML level. It's probably the first time where he's cost his team multiple runs in a game doing stuff like that.

He tried to pull a fast one on the M's twice (if he dropped it on purpose) and the M's gave him the uno reverse right after.

Good instincts for the game, bad situational understanding so far. Instincts are harder to teach than situational baseball, so I'm optimistic.

Mariners seem to be game planning for it
