My guy he was standing smack dab in the middle of the base path with his back turned to the runner.

What runner comes off the back top of the bag to create a lane? That isn’t how anyone naturally runs the base paths - you cut the inner portion. It’s how everyone in the league runs…

Unless you’re a cheating b**** going out of your way to create some dumb ass horseshit.

It’s not the first time J-Rod and the M’s have been doing dumb s%*# like this during this year to try getting an edge.

The ONLY fault I could sign on for is to fault the Sox for not scouting the Mariners and being hyper vigilant to this dumb ass s%*#.

Ah, Wednesday is a day game. I just got a ticket for tmr's game instead. Section 140 row 9. Right at the edge of visiting dugout down there. Ticket was 60 and had a promo code for 10 off, not bad at a

Luckily, so are the Sox after this trip.

Woo settled in and just got the strikeout machine started up.

NEVER. Not even close!

J-Rod has been doing s%*# like that all year. Guy is a little b****.

Most baserunners can’t round 2B at 90 degree angles. That’s why they call it “rounding the bases”.

Acuna finally hits a ball well and hits it right at someone.

Leave Acuña in Seattle please. This is fucking torture.

Acuna has had terrible batted ball luck this season

Seems like in large part due to his swing. Doesn’t pull the ball hard in the air it seems, and he hits a lot of grounders to the right side

Venezuelan Winter League Power.

Think it is just one of those games

I can't believe Getz thought he was a switch hitter AND got convinced to trade for him cause of some winter league homers.

I don't really think the spray direction has much to do with it. And the air/ground part is all baked in. It's just bad luck. The expected stats are much like the rest of his career, predicting a not good but not unplayable (for a speed and defense guy) amount of production

Crazy play by Romo there.

He was in the direct path INTENTIONALLY CREATED BY the runner who had zero need to turn that wide.

NOBODY NATURALLY RUNS IN THAT WAY UNLESS THEY ARE SEEKING CONTACT.

It’s Busch league bullshit and if you’re not able to see it then you’re blind.

And the fact the 3b coach waved him as soon as that interference call was made makes me 100% believe that’s a play in the Mariners’ bag of tricks.

His swing/contact metrics in ST were so good, but it's like he's got a totally different approach now.

Sam shoulda charged Pereda from 2nd base there just to send a message.

These aren’t exact since my finger and the Apple annotation tool is hard to be accurate with but J-Rod is the green path. Dude was running towards the left fielder. He was looking to make contact.

It was retarded as f*** and pisses me off.

noah has pitched well.

I've never seen that before. Foul tip pop way up and be caught.

I think so too. Although that looked like a routine wave home to a White Sox 3B coach. 🤣

Gameday 3D view of the obstruction play. I left Arozarena's turn in there so you can see what a normal baseline looks like.

I would’ve beaned Naylor. Play bushleague games, get bushleague results.

They 10000% have been doing little dumb ass intentional crap like this all year to try getting an edge.

I forget what exactly it was but the Leauge has already created one clarifying rule to prevent them from doing some other nonsense.

I hope at some point we take the lead back and J-Rod gets one in the back.

I’m still confused. I thought a foul tip strike three caught by the catcher had to be a clean catch. Guess I didn’t know the rule.
