They would be delusional to hold onto him. IMO.

The Tigers had been out in the wilderness for 7 seasons before two playoff appearances. I would think that if they could pull themselves back around .500 by the middle of July, they have to keep him and make a run.

This is a high risk, high reward offense. Don't get upset over a strikeout or double play when you already have a 4 run lead... it's literally how their core is constructed

So stop complaining. Jesus this board.

  • It'll be nice in about a month when hopefully the lineup includes Mune, Teel, B Montgomery, with Gonzalez staying. That's a lineup with a lot of depth.

Romo not running into many lately.

Time to bring up Korey Lee.

Is Korey Lee clubhouse poison or something? A flat earther? Why is he not here?

I wonder what one playoff run is worth given that he’d also cost over 10 mil in salary. A comp pick with the additional bonus pool money is not nothing. You’d need to get a couple of pretty decent prospects to make it worth your while.

The Tigers have a nice, young team, but the Orioles are an example of how that window can slam shut out of nowhere.

Are they that young? I get McGonigle, but who else? Dingler, I guess, but Greene is a vet at this point. Torkelson is just a guy. Carpenter is a hot and cold platoon bat. They need some of their prospects to come through for sure.

They have like three young players of note, one (Greene) about to get a lot more expensive and than McGonigle and Dingler. Pitching wise they have nobody really. I guess Montero is a decent 4th starter. Their farm is solid but the Sox easily have the better roster at this moment.

Twins just got Rikuu-rolled.

It would take an insane run for them to do it.

But why?

I mean I'll forgive him that was a nasty pitch

Colson pulling his head off the ball. Over-swinging.

Rough day at the plate for Colson.

Colson with a rough last 2 ABs. Had a cookie to hit before the strikeout too.

Yep but the pitches before that were good pitches to hit. He’s pulling off everything

Oh that fastball was a meatball

He’s in a slump. It happens to everyone.
