Makes me think they’re actually exploring some bigger trades since he doesn’t go out on a limb much and is pretty tethered to the team.

47 minutes ago47 min Mead plays 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, I will take what we have at those positions. I guess he could have been the UT or R/ DH. Mead wasn't going to get the playing time here and his departure has led to very positive things.The Sox didn't have an established a LF, CF, or RF in the preseason. Sam was given a chance to learn on the fly in LF because Benny was a defensive liability. Peters in CF made the All-Star team, and Montgomery is finally the answer to a long-time hole in RF.
