Nice deductive work! Really would love adding him behind the dish.

Credit Sox on 35th lol. But I would have to believe Getz and Co know this as well.

We have no excuse not to buy a top-end SP in free agency this offseason. As such, I’d rather keep Bonemer and go with a cheaper SP at the deadline. I truly believe we should not be doing “all-in” trad

Trevor Bauer is an awful clubhouse fit even if you believe him innocent of any criminal wrongdoing. I also don’t understand why anyone would think a 35 year old pitching in the Nippon League or where

Shits and giggles:

White Sox send Bonemer, Hagen Smith, Mason Adams, and Edgar Quero to Cincinnati for Hunter Greene, Emilio Pagan, and Tyler Stephenson.

Whatda ya think?

Am I the only 1 that doesn’t think adding another SP is that important?….unless it’s someone that will be a top 3 starter for the playoffs.

Realistically we are getting 60 innings out of the #5 spot the rest of the season. I don’t see why we would give up legit prospects for someone like Singer that won’t pitch in the playoffs. I don’t think piggybacking Fedde and Schultz to get those 60 innings will result in any more losses.

Correct - I think we are going to only be looking for a number 1/2 type or someone who has the potential to rebound to that status.

In a word, no...

Greene's injury history is pretty scary to start with although when healthy he's very good.

And because the Reds are going to want more. Two of the guys you list are questionable in their own right.

Yea, I figure the same.

Just trying to kill time until something happens.

It is fun to dream on prying away a frontline starter with some control… somehow.

I agree with you

I really would put Holmes in this category. I really rate him. Detmers is my number one choice but is clear that the Angels are delusional when it comes to both where they are as a club and asking price.

Yea, we’re certainly in agreement when it comes to Holmes… I find myself wasting time today dreaming of bigger fish.

I'm finally looking at that Luis Garcia trade....Yankees did very well.

The Nationals also did well to sell high on 2 guys having great years.

Bring him in!

Pretty much what I said after that. You know he's going to fit right in this ball club.

There is a Castillo to Stephenson connection that makes sense. Some of Castillo's best seasons were with Stephenson as his catcher.

Did not even think about this connection as it seems like Castillo has been gone from the reds forever ago

I'd say 3/4 are questionable.
