Official 2026 MLB Draft Thread - Picks & Discussion

One stop shopping with the Mets:
Clay Holmes
Luis Torrens (Great D, can't hit. Sox would be stuck with him for another 2 years)
Huascar Brazoban

Thorpe (one injured pitcher deserves another)
2 prospects in the 10-15 org range
1 unranked prospect

We get 3 scurvy veterans for some 2nd/3rd tier prospects (although Thorpe was supposed to be first tier).

I truly think tomorrow they have a shot at turning this into what we will look back on as one of the more special drafts in franchise history!

Saw a story at MLB.com yesterday that said he is actually drawing interest from teams.

Having Robert in there every day would sure be special.

Every day where? Here? Pass

“In there every day” the key point

I’d support this for the sake of fun reading on here.

Lol I was thinking only way I’d accept him back as a salary dump and he came with Holmes and a reliever to lower the player cost.

Honestly that wouldn’t be the worst thing. We have payroll room to spare

I really, really, really hope that we use the found money this season (literally, we are up 20% YoY in attendance so far, with a lot of season left) that they are willing to take on salary versus the prospect cost this season.

First inning, Robert, Hays, and Pereira all collide on a fly ball to center and are on the 60-day IL.

Oh man, the posts flipping back to how great Robert is would be totally worth it.

After all, what would spectator sports be without entertainment?
