I really, really, really hope that we use the found money this season (literally, we are up 20% YoY in attendance so far, with a lot of season left) that they are willing to take on salary versus the prospect cost this season.

The injuries to Teel and the regression of Quero shows how important it is to draft and develop. Before the WBC the Sox catching was one of their strengths but that has quickly evaporated.

I think it's one year you can't trade them but I'm not sure.

Are CBA deadlines in December? My understanding is that business will be conducted until they officially pass the deadline.

Not sure if it’s December 12th but that date stands out in my mind for some reason.

Can't see the Sox or anyone doing any serious business in the three weeks or so before the lockout. Nobody will know what the terms of the next CBA will be and they won't want to get stuck.

Nothing substancial will be done. Would be shocked if any free agents were signed by anybody.
