You would lose the slot value for example 200k and the ability to go 5% over without penalty so total loss would be 210 from your pool.

Braves did all that maneuvering with #1/2 and 8-10 ($1500) picks to go way over on slots 3/6/11

But many had slotted AJ Gracia is the 20s.

Honestly, they really should do away with the pool. All these senior signs getting nothing to manage pool space is kinda of a shitty way to bring these guys into pro baseball. They should have at least a 50% floor on slot value and maybe cap the bonus on day 2 picks so you can't go a million over on pick 11 and force a team to spend their full pool day 1.
