I would assume Grant was warming to get Hicks out of trouble if it came to that. I would guess looking forward now, they're going to pick whatever part of the lineup they want him to pitch to. Currently lined up to have the bottom of Texas's order for the 9th.

How many people would feel a lot better, not only about tonight’s game but even more about the season going forward, if Mune would hit a damn home run in this game.

    Need to win this game.

  • That stadium in general kind of sucks. I've been to their old stadium and the new one. While the old one sucked during the hot summers, it at least had some character. This new stadium feels so dull,

Why is Jordan Hicks not being used in leverage again?

He actually is. 4-2 lead in 6th

Wasn't that leverage? Quero and Mune tried to make it leverage.

Rangers have a pretty good pen it appears.

Taylor, Huddy, Newcy?

I guess. 6th inning pretty early to be considered the back of the bullpen. Guy looks like he should be pitching 8th or 9th

Vargas and Mune are way off tonight.

He was struggling early on, he couldn't be trusted. But since he came back and made a change in his delivery he has been lights out. The guy has always had great stuff he just hadn't been able to control and locate.

Ahlstrom has good stuff but hasn't had much success this season, despite how Wagner-esque he looked this inning.

I don’t hate slowly bringing him along to become an 8th inning guy. Keep him hungry and fighting for something.

He looked pretty good in the first game of the series too. Our guys can't pick him up.

They likely don't feel the need to "save" guys with an off day tomorrow and all of the leverage guys getting to the point where they need work anyway

I don't get this

Hudson to close it out?

I'm guessing they wanted him to face the top and middle of the order.

Feel like this is overthinking it.

Im sorry but why is GT pitching the 7th??

opposite imo. not just slotting guys into roles, letting game determine it.

Sox have a lot of guys slumping at the plate right now. Have to find a way to win games like this because they will break out here soon.

Mune doesn’t look like the same player só far.

speaks to how difficult it is to miss a significant amount of time in the middle of the season without adverse consequences upon return

Heading for a 3ish fWAR when he was off to such a historic start

Vargas and Peters and Colson have been more valuable from an fWAR standpoint, but that’s a counting stat

Just hard to go all in when Colson and Mune are só far off

Feels like Taylor has been getting a bit wild at least once every outing recently.
