Rice just better...playing with fire getting out of that inning unscathed.

Like moths to a flame the Panicans are now joining the game thread.

  • I would say that’s true for anyone posting on a baseball message board at 8:25 on a Monday

Not getting the big outs in those situations recently.

Need a big fly here

That’s really poor in game managing. You cannot let Ben Rice beat you.

Well, part of Hudson's deal is throwing fastballs down the heart and not getting hurt by it thanks to the deception. But Ben Rice may well be the best player on the field tonight so he's more likely than most to punish your mistakes.

My problem is that he was clearly sitting fastball because they barely made him think about a breaking pitch. I think he was sitting on that early in the count, but as the at bat went on it was clear that Hudson would just keep pumping him fastballs.

Ben Rice is really good

He is the most dangerous hitter in the Yankees lineup. That Hudson fastball had too much of the plate.

Lefties hit Hudson better than righties. He might be losing his spot towards the back of the bullpen

Pissed this one away.

Not really. Yankees tried pissing it away in the first. We just got beat by one of the best players in baseball.

Sox are going to score 4 more tonight

Just awful pitches

Why not a high fastball. I just dont understand

We had to score one more run no matter what

With first base open and no Judge or Bellinger to follow!

Should have pitched around him and let Taylor face Goldschmidt

I think with neutral batted ball luck he'll perform about equally against both sides. But either way I wouldn't necessarily be matching him up with lefties specifically.

Boone has been one step ahead of Venable

Anything out of the zone, and if we walk him so be it.

Well that's where Quero was asking for it. He just missed it middle-middle

Probably because Hudson doesn't have a good breaking pitch.

Sox aren’t hitting this dude.

a lefty with swing and miss stuff

Down on the Farm update: all those guys not pitching well enough to deserve a call to MLB

Down on the Farm….sox have used a ton of resources to have no reliable pitching prospects

What's gotten into Colson?

Bad contact base hits has always been integral to Colson's game (at the MLB level at least)
