The Threequel GameThread: White Sox @ Rays 6:10 CDT Fedde vs Martinez

Rays must have seen us waste both challenges and decided not to risk it. That was not close to a strike lol.

Needs one with his hand on his chin and it would be perfect.

I've got a bunch of this (Pokeweed) in the front yard. Looking it up, it's very toxic. I never realized people eat this. You have to boil it many times over to get the toxins out.

What break?

the deadline I mean

THE TRADE DEADBREAK

Blowing both challenges will come back to bite them

I wouldn't be surprised if they DFA him after the break, does he have options?

I think he has options, but I’m not sure they want to roster a 4th catcher. I also think he could be slipper through waivers with ease.

Yandy has zero challenges this year.

For a guy with a great eye, that makes no sense.

Diaz hasn't challenged a single time this year according to rays booth

Romo wasted our challenges so fast that Tampa got scared to try. That's big brain play.

That was absurd. How can you keep the guy after his play combined with those back-to-back awful challenges?

maybe it was a ploy to get the ump to call the last one a strike

Was it actually two in a row? I’m watching on my phone and legit thought this shitty CHSN app froze replayed the first one!

Fedde did his job. Grab a shower and cheer us on.

That's about as good as you can expect out of a Fedde start.

Romo won two challenges earlier but challenging the last 2 was crazy.

It’s like he doesn’t care for the rule.

why send him through waivers if he has options? does that let you remove him from the 40man if he goes unclaimed?

He respects umpires too much I guess, lol

Seems like a mindset thing. I agree though, that was clearly off.

Guys slump fathom…it’s a 162 game season. We aren’t replacing Colson and Peters if that’s what you’re suggesting. Catcher is the one must upgrade on the positional side.

Peters has no track record. He’s not someone you sit around if he slumps for another two weeks and say “we know he’s capable of bouncing back”. Obviously not replacing Colson, but adding to the outfield possibly lengthens the lineup.

Mune now with the uber rare ISO over 300.

For better or worse, I think Pereira gets more playing time in CF if Peters’ slump extends a while. But even then, he’s valuable in CF with the glove. Colson is the far bigger issue because this offense really needs consistent power from all three of Murakami, Vargas, & him.

Damn. Good play.

Right size wrong shape

Could be and doesn’t want to show them up, could be using some psychology there and in doing so the umpires will give him the benefit of the doubt on some pitches, they didn’t though on that 3rd strike.

I feel like fastballs up and in from a righty are Vargas kryptonite, it's like the one quadrant he can't get to

COLSON

SUCK IT COLSON HATERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep he sucks

He broke out of it!
