Chi Sox @ Bo Sox 6:10 First Pitch

Featured Replies

Davis gave up a double on a changeup to Sogard, but of course the ball was hit in such a way that it would have been caught for an out in 29 parks. But that scared Davis badly enough that he gave up on his best weapon against lefties for the rest of the inning.

With the three pitchers we have going and as tough as the opponent will be, this feels like a playoff series.

As long as they don't get swept, I'll be satisfied. Then go beat Cleveland.

Glad I just bought a cold 12 pack of rolling rocks for this s%*# show

12 gonna be enough?

Red Sox are not seeing any difference between this year’s White Sox team and the past two years. They’re simply demolishing the Sox!

Can position players start pitching in the second inning?

This is starting to turn into clown show.

3 years.

Davis is going to have plenty of leeway to try to find it in this outing. Step 1 will be him needing to know the difference between the lucky hits and the nukes.

Frankly, the worst Davis pitches, the more my attitude becomes "resistance is futile" with regard to the deadline. Team isn't built for you to be picking up a replacement for Davis Martin.

I think my attitude about Griffin is that he's been good, although not as good as the 3.05 or whatever ERA suggests. And it's fair to wonder whether he can keep it given the lack of track record. But yeah, the expectation for Davis should have been that he would not continue to be a high 2 ERA guy. Not sure what a good expectation for him is right now

Only around 90 ip in 2025 but a considerable workload the two previous seasons, especially 2024

Mid 3’s WAR

whatever Martin worked on over the break did the opposite

Is the addition of Bart and Doyle supposed to be an upgrade to this line up?

And of course the offense won't so up . Shocker after scoring 9 on Sunday. Only counts as one loss.

Nope, might need to kick in the devils lettuce for this one 🙂

Looks out to me.

That's it - we won the trade!!!

Martin can't be our #2. Sox need to spend big bucks on a good starter.

You have now seen Doyle do something that Peters can't do.

This Red Sox team reminds me of the 1983 White Sox who were 8 games under .500 at the end of May and wound up with a 99-63 record.

Doyle 95th percentile in arm strength

Might just have saved two more runs there

Well they spent the money.

No team stays as hot as the Red Sox do forever. I feel like it could very well be this series where they come back to earth.

Welp

C’mon, start chipping away.

Won’t be easy with Yankees and Rays to pull that off

Hopefully more like 2005 Astros in terms of ultimate result/s
