And of course another starter could have been had. Hold on to those prospects Getz. Maybe they will turn into the likes of the Minor league pitchers we are seeing come up and fail.

I would have liked for them to pick up another starter, and maybe they did with Urquidy. But I wouldn't have unloaded for 2 months of somebody who could lose his release point, get injured, or just not click.

Anyone with half a brain knew guys were going to go at the deadline, but the question is what we got for them, not that we traded them. For example, if the Sox didn't need to dump Dominguez to save a few bucks, they could have sent a lessor prospect than Smith.

The lack of adding a second SP could prove deadly.
