3 hours ago3 hr Author The biggest question is…Is Jake Rogers still rocking the 70’s pornstache or did he shave it off?
3 hours ago3 hr Rogers has a .199 lifetime BA. There were far better catchers available before the trade deadline if Getz was serious about helping this team compete for an AL Central Championship. And of course another starter could have been had. Hold on to those prospects Getz. Maybe they will turn into the likes of the Minor league pitchers we are seeing come up and fail.

But Bart broke his hand
2 hours ago2 hr I still think I'd rather have Quero around than Romo, but I have a feeling Quero will be booking a ticket to Charlotte shortly.

Is there a mystery cache of top prospects that we've never heard of, but would have gotten every top player on the market in trade?

It just didn’t work out due to a random injury. However, Getz obviously had the prospects to trade for a rental starter, even after the Castillo trade. It doesn’t appear that Getz ever considered rentals since he even mentioned the additional year(s) of control for all the players he acquired at the deadline. He pretty much said it himself. That was the mistake.

I would have liked for them to pick up another starter, and maybe they did with Urquidy. But I wouldn't have unloaded for 2 months of somebody who could lose his release point, get injured, or just not click.

Two tiny slappy prospects. Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by WhiteSox2023

Anyone with half a brain knew guys were going to go at the deadline, but the question is what we got for them, not that we traded them. For example, if the Sox didn't need to dump Dominguez to save a few bucks, they could have sent a lessor prospect than Smith.

The lack of adding a second SP could prove deadly.
