Neither of these takes are homer takes. I think when discussing this its important to remember a few things.

Is Davis a hothead? No I have never seen him lose his cool. History suggests he isnt the type to go headhunting.

Does Davis suck ass and has been sucking ass for awhile now? Yes, he has.

At that point in the game, would it have been worth it to go headhunting? No, not at all. Look what happened.

You just answered your own question. It’s called frustration.

I mentioned it around the deadline, but this has kind of a 2020/2012 vibe where the pitching was extended past where their talents and abilities were, and it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of these guy

Haha, two high and way inside fastballs back-to-back against the guy that homered against him earlier. If an opposing pitcher facing the Sox did it, you would agree. Stop being a homer all your life.

Davis Martin is not headhunting in that situation or most likely any situation. They literally got a strike on a challenge.

Thats not being a homer, its just common sense.

Come on need to chip away here, Sox are capable of big innings, we've seen that this season many times

Here's comes the rain

Reds got 4 in a hurry, let's return the favor.

Better approach, just a good play

So Davis Martin, noted fan of Jesus, decided that since he is so frustrated for sucking so much ass lately, he would go ahead and put Sal Stewart's livelihood on the line because of his ego?

I'm not buying it dude. Sorry.

Nah man, he is a piece of garbage that is frustrated so he was possibly trying to end someone's career.

Colson home run would be nice right about now

Need to score here

Yeah, this looks like the control of a guy who TRIED to hit someone. Stop being obtuse, some of you...

Cinci gonna drag this out as long as they can

Got 5 innings to get to this bullpen

Or

Score 6 here and let the skies open up

Oh another Colson pop up. Go get fixed dude

How bout a nice popup

I swear I am watching Colson on replay right now.

My god he sucks

Totally fine if they decide to trade him

Can't wait for Colson to decide that since he is so frustrated that he sucks so much ass, to let the bat go toward the pitcher while swinging.

So Castillo may make up for Martin’s decline. Perhaps Thorpe can make up for Martin’s drop in performance?

The LF could have caught that lol
