Honestly, a suspension might be the best thing for Davis at this point to get his head straight.

Just got home from work. Did he bean a guy or something?

I mentioned it around the deadline, but this has kind of a 2020/2012 vibe where the pitching was extended past where their talents and abilities were, and it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of these guy

  • pitch chart of a guy who has absolute control of his fastball and would never miss way away from the zone unless he was sending a message

Better hope Freeman signs an extension

Yup, but he’ll be 37 at the end of his contract next year. 🫣

Yeah, the first game loss was brutal and this one is just as bad.

First game way worse. This was just a terribly pitched game.

That isn’t the same take at all. Wondering if he picked the wrong team doesn’t mean he hates the team. Who wouldn’t question signing with the White Sox right now if say the Dodgers offered you similar money or even less?

We are currently talking on this day right now. Not the future.

Detroit up 3-0 in the 8th.

That Pope night loss still stings.

Colson is much better at 3rd than SS

Hope Sal is okay with Richards throwing strike 2 up and in

So then why do you care if he hates it here or not?

I didn’t say he “hates” it here. He “may be” coming to the realization that here isn’t where-its-at-man. The White Sox are (at best) an average team with much more rebuilding needed over the next several years. I’ll repeat: this season until now has been a lark and won’t be repeated anytime soon.

Yes, and if I was an MLB player on this day right now I would rather be a Dodger than a White Sox. They have a better shot at a deep playoff run and a WS. Doesn’t mean that said player hates their current team, the White Sox, right now. What’s the confusion?

this fucking thread, dude

Sox lost the first game up 4 going into the 6th, that was also on bad pitching. We're not supposed to lose those types of games if we're legit contenders, especially considering the opponent

It's amazing how long McDougal stayed in the game....he was throwing at everyone.

Well, ultimately like @fathom posted, money talks and bullshit walks. So it’s up to Jerry after next season.

Usually there's something discernibly wrong or different about a guy slumping as bad as Peters but really when I look at the numbers, nothing jumps out at all. Strikeouts aren't up too much. Chase rate not much different, depending on the time window you use he might even be chasing less. Walks are slightly up. Rate of hard contact similar. Closest thing I have to some insight is he's taking more strikes as of late, although that's probably more of a symptom than a cause. He just doesn't know what he's looking at up there. To some extent, it's hard to pick up patterns in Tristan's underlying data because 1. He's been somewhat erratic in most of these metrics all year and 2. A lot of the metrics didn't look very good before the slump

What fucking point is even being made, then?

Offense also went to sleep against what is supposed to be a lousy bullpen

Seems he’s over swinging to me.

That you can’t comprehend posts apparently.

Lots of lucky hits in that game. This was just bad pitching.

So the young players won't repeat good seasons any time soon? Sounds like you are a Cub fan. Am I right?

Acuna was friggin awful in game 1

I think the post was pretty fucking stupid and there was nothing to comprehend and you are actually putting words in his mouth more than he described.

I don’t think the pitching in game 1 was that bad. The big inning was set up by a bad throw and a couple more little dink hits.

Just no balance in this lineup. Every other hitter seems to be hitting under .200 in their last 15 games.

I was wondering if he's trying to hit for more power?
