I mentioned it around the deadline, but this has kind of a 2020/2012 vibe where the pitching was extended past where their talents and abilities were, and it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of these guy

  • pitch chart of a guy who has absolute control of his fastball and would never miss way away from the zone unless he was sending a message

I didn’t say he “hates” it here. He “may be” coming to the realization that here isn’t where-its-at-man. The White Sox are (at best) an average team with much more rebuilding needed over the next several years. I’ll repeat: this season until now has been a lark and won’t be repeated anytime soon.

It could get better, but Jerry isn’t going to spend the money needed to and they are going to rely on their homegrown pitching which apparently isn’t all that it was supposed to be.

Can always count on Francona to roll into Chicago late in the season and just f*** EVERYTHING up

Easy to get down on these guys after a rough series like this.

The problem now is that Detroit and the Cubs could do a lot of damage to the Sox taking them out of first place. It would have been nice to go into those series on a bit of a roll instead of with finger pointing and uncertainty.

Well no reason to worry about it because that team would be awful

I actually posted early in the season that I was worried about the lack of pitching in our minor leagues and I was shut down by a very knowledgeable poster here who told me I had no idea what I was talking about.

They just have to start playing better in every aspect. 1 game under .500 since the ASB. Some of the young guys who were great in first half have been terrible in the second half.

Starting tomorrow.

There is not a single projectable starting pitcher in their minor league system. Just a catastrophic year for pitching development. Outside of injuries, it’s a worst case scenario.

4-spot incoming!

BTW, did Ky Bush die? I would have expected to have heard something about his return by now. He's not really part of the plan at all but every now and then a guy like that will get something going.

And then a 2 spot in the 9th!

So the young players won't repeat good seasons any time soon? Sounds like you are a Cub fan. Am I right?

  1. They still have miles to learn.

  2. Never a flubs fan.

Why was Martin ejected?

There's a debatable story there

Hit a batter who hit a homer earlier but he's been pretty wild.

Because he sucks, and I'm not even kidding.

He hit Sal Stewart in the head after throwing one in almost the exact same spot earlier in the AB. Benches cleared, they tossed Martin even though it was clear it wasn't intentional and that he's just a horrible pitcher.

Quero getting turned around would be a nice boost

Great to see from Quero

Really nice series for White Sox catchers.

Let Mune hit here

Looking at the bright side, Quero heating up

Take 3
