We just don't have a good TV booth. And I buried the lede: Stone is perhaps a bigger problem.

In before the race card gets played again to say that Stone should have retired 10 or 15 years ago, and even if Schiff isn't good at his job, literally every one else they bring in when Stone isn't there sounds better with John than John sounds with Steve.

Uriquidy had TJ surgery in June of 2024. His next appearance might be telling if he is 100%.

John is not perfect and times there is too much "everything is awesome" when it comes to the WS. However, I love john's enthusiasm and his calls. His calls are different then what we are use too. I love that fact that John is not a cookie cutter MLB play by play announcer. You can turn on a game and most of these dudes sound the same. Some of you don't like him and never will. That is fine but there is nothing wrong with different.

To me Schrif is like a little brother, annoying and a pest but you got his back.

I'd also like to point out the contribution from Sam Antonacci with the spectacular catch up against the ivy in games 3. Urquidy looked like a cheerleader he was so happy about it.

While PCA grabbed headlines going 5 for 12 with 3 HR and 4 RBI, Benintendi & Grichuk went 4 for 14 ,2 HR, & 6 RBI. While Venable has made questionable decisions in certain situations his use of Benintendi and Grichuk at the right times is certainly paying off. While it might be easy to just stick them in the lineup to maximize their handedness the pincj hitting and at what time to do it and how early to do it because they may have more of an advantage against lower leverage relievers is a little trickier and for the most part has been working well.

Braden of course had the comet throw and went 3 for 12 with 2 RBI to give the Sox a little breathing room in game 3 and snuff out a potential threat with his assist, gunning down Taylor at 3rd base. Once he learns how to elevate the ball a little more he should be a mainstay and potential All-Star for year to come. He and Meidroth have plugged holes the Sox have had for years .

No mention of Stone Pony’s hatred of every partner he has had lately, and the constant trolling of said partner? I don’t think it’s all just his schtick. Like I have said in the past, he probably gets along with his pet dogs more than actual humans. Pretty sure he likes them more as well.

I don’t think Steve hates his partners as much as people online seem to think he does. Sure sometimes it seems like he might be slightly annoyed. I don’t think he overtly dislikes John, Jason, or even Hawk. Otherwise he wouldn’t have stuck around for 2 decades.
