Exciting Series

Let's go Rockies

Huge win. Mune very badly needs to break out of whatever this is.

Just about everyone on the Sox has slumped this year, thats baseball, Mune will figure things out, the only guy that concerns me is Kolson.

Excellent win.

As far as the hitting issues, you're best guys strike out a ton, they have low batting averages. That combination almost results in a 'home run or nothing' situation. That's not good.

I don't have an answer except maybe with time they'll get better as they get more experience at the big league level.

There was a time spoken of by elders when Sox fans expected to win close games. I thought it was just old people blabbing. Perhaps it's true.

I can’t remember another season with so many Sox walkoffs. Really fun year, despite being incredibly stressful.

Obviously some serious negatives in this series, but a series win is a series win.

Mad props to Newky, Fedde, Hagen, Benni, and Mr Peters.

What Ben Johnson does to a city

I do like that in a series that the Sox hitters were not clutch at all in the slightest they managed to hit two walk off homers.

lol this is so true

Here's to the waiver wire (or purchase wire). Getz has worked that hard and it's paid off.

All right covered all the heroes !

I turned on the game late , around the fifth inning. I saw it was 0-0, checked who was pitching and saw Fedde pitching after 2 scoreless by Nuke. Fedde was at 2.2 IP.

Yesterday while researching Sox pitching I knew Fedde had been pitching decently the last few months and Sox had won a nice portion of the games when he pitched so I dug into his game logs and saw the Sox were 13-7 since late April when he pitches 3 or more innings so I was rooting hard for him to get that last out to complete 3 innings . He got it and pitched another scoreless inning. So I knew the odds favored a Sox win. Now 14-7 since late April when he pitches 3 or more inning !

Thanks ElderTex.

Gary Peters was 26 when he won ROY.

Tristan Peters is 26, he might not win the ROY, but he made the All-Star team.

Pope gives them overall power. Ben Johnson has given Bears, Sox and Cubs fans cardiac arrest.

The post-game show was really good today, Our Chuck was eating hot wings for losing the pick to click with Ozzie. Then they interviewed Emma, the "cutie patootie", that got the walk off homer from Friday night. She gave Rogers the ball and he gave her a signed bat, signed a ball, and a signed jersey.

While it is true that the Sox are not good at manufacturing runs I wouldn't say that it is all or nothing since when you are 1st in the AL in run scored and 3rd in baseball in HRs building your team to take walks (11th MLB) and hit HR's because and of the park we play home games is what should always be done . Another benefit is that the White Sox hit into the least amount of DP's in MLB !

Just listened to Len's call. Chills baby! Chills!

Fair.

But it's also true that if you at least can put the ball in play good things can happen. If you have a lot of strike outs, well...nothing can happen except maybe a dropped third strike.

The batting averages of Vargas, Muni and Colson are now .246, .223 and .213 respectively...I mean that's not good at all.

Makes you appreciate even more what guys like Thomas, Konerko, Ordonez, Lee and Valentin did in the early 00's. They hit a ton of home runs and also had good batting averages.

The modern game is based around the home run. They do need to be better about situational hitting but I'd much rather be us then the Guardians who don't have a lot of power. lack of power in 2022 killed this team.

I thought Friday’s was better but that may have been DJ’s, “Now let’s celebrate! Let’s jump up and down! I love it!” The shot at Yan made me giggle.
