This doesn't include him taking a time out when he gets to 0-2, adjusting his gloves when he takes the time out, him swinging at a low curveball for strike 3, and then looking angry and depressed at the same time as he walks back to the dugout.

This is an important series. If the Guardians go on a big run, which isn't impossible given they have the easiest remaining schedule, Texas is the biggest competition for the final wild card spot.

  • I have been just trying to enjoy this improbable season, but I am getting a little anxious to step a boot on the divisions neck.

Just mark down the W right now.

So why was Doyle acquired again?

Because Pereira will end up playing less than 50 games of a 162 schedule. That's Yoan/2024 territory. I think we're done with that.

I don't believe that. He just needs a reset this off-season.

If they extend Mune and Vargas, it’s extremely possible

He has glaring holes in his game right now that I was honestly surprised didn't get exposed much earlier. Last year, pitchers were throwing him cutters and sliders middle/middle that he was crushing. Now he's getting nothing but high fastballs and low and in breaking pitches that he can't lay off of.

Why not let the platoon guys get an at bat?

Sure. And there's about 5 shortstops behind him in the system right now. As WS23 said, I'm tweaking RayRay for his blather. Colson's got some adjustments to make for 2027, or Paul DeJong is a bridge too far for him to get to.

Or Josh Fields

This might sound like sacrilege but I .always felt 162 games is way too many. When starting players get tired, it leads to bench players getting more playing time = lower quality of baseball. Makes you think how impressive that record Cal Ripken Jr holds, it'll never be broken.

When I was a lad they drew more than 11K on a Monday night in first place. Bridgeport has had their time. Also some remember signs that said first night game May 22.

And Mune's got to cut the bullshit, also. This is the team heading into the playoffs. A team expected to challenge .500 this year. But I agree that there's problems.

8 for last 54

Take the next two and win the series again. Feel a lot better about Kay and Burke going. Would be nice to see some life from the guys who are slumping.

Also hope that Thorpe aces 6 IP tomorrow.

Above all: SWEEP THE CENTRAL remains the focus! 💪🏼🧦🔥

I think the length of the season is really getting to some of these guys. They are running on fumes plus we haven't had a day off since August 10th

I alluded to this earlier, but I think it’s good for the young guys’ development to see same hand pitching when it’s likely to not impact the outcome. Theres just hasn’t been many spots like that with a team trying to squeeze out every win.

They are gonna let Richards throw his arm off tonight aren’t they?

I think they'll just let a position player pitch the top of the 9th

Guards update….Parker Messick is awesome. Nearly every pitch has been right on the corner

Can’t unless down 8

They are going to go on a run and there isn't anything we can do about it

Damn, so close.

Next dog day giveaway: a Richard’s rubber arm chew toy.

Richards always throws a crazy amount of wild pitches. Quite fascinating

When Roch is ready, Colson takes Acuna's role as utility infielder.

Also why these Rangers games are more important than most might think

That “newer” rule is BS.

Fathom — Venable brings Doyle in now, haha.
