This is an important series. If the Guardians go on a big run, which isn't impossible given they have the easiest remaining schedule, Texas is the biggest competition for the final wild card spot.

  • I have been just trying to enjoy this improbable season, but I am getting a little anxious to step a boot on the divisions neck.

The big issue is that means more Acuna, Antonacci and Meidroth

Not really an issue when the guy being replaced is doing absolutely nothing.

This one is ovah

The way we have been playing has been so depressing. We had the chance to really step on the throats of the division and we keep struggling against teams we need to beat

2 out of 3 is not my idea of a sustained run.

I'll take 67% winning the rest of the year.

A 2nd grader can create Kolson Montgomery’s scouting report. How has he made no adjustment? The whole league knows Kolson can only square up pitches in the bottom third of the zone. Don’t dip your back shoulder every swing and drive a high and away fastball to Left one time!!!

I decided to check out the White Sox subreddit. People that are critical about the team over there get attacked by a swath of posters calling them "doomers" 😂

I'd be fine with not seeing Colson til Friday. Give him a couple games, and then the off day Thursday

Colson should had been hitting 8 th tonight, the way he has been killing rallys lately.

You can’t constantly fall behind in games.

I don't remember how he was playing when the Sox had that 5.5 game lead but they should've put him on the IL and gave him a couple weeks, call it a back issue or something

The walk offs are fun, but no team can survive as many close games as we've played recently.

Well, this one is ovah.

Let me guess, a lot of “if they go 17-16, these other teams need to go….”

If you're down big early in games it wears on you. Guys are pressing. Pitching needs to hold it together better than this.

Tigers lose again, they’re history.

Not our night. Pitching kind of sucks.

To add to the tired comment, MLB should not allow teams to play greater than 2 weeks straight. They were supposed to be off last Thursday but had to makeup with that Braves game. I don’t know how you solve it, but this is brutal on any team.

This might sound like sacrilege but I always felt 162 games is way too many. When starting players get tired, it leads to bench players getting more playing time = lower quality of baseball. Makes you think how impressive that record Cal Ripken Jr holds, it'll never be broken.

It’s almost like they needed a spark at the deadline

Haven’t had many bad losses this season. This will definitely be one of them though.

You have to bring Thorpe up at this point. You have 2 starters right now

Pitching has been really damn good of late
