Tuesday at 05:06 PM4 days Based on Will Venable's pregame comments Tuesday, it sounds like he's also considering it more of a corporeal concern."[Mental breaks are] something that's always on the table as a solution for guys. I just don't think that we're there yet with him, or that we're going to get there with him," Venable told reporters."First of all, he went through this really tough stretch and he had some really good swings on our last road trip. So I get the question and the bigger body of work maybe recently. But I think that right now he's in a good spot.

Tuesday at 05:16 PM4 days It has been painful to watch and I feel bad for the guy. If he had back issues then rest himOtherwise he needs to concentrate on contact and not to drive everything out of the park. His performance is key to establishing the Sox as a legit post season contender. I wonder how many runners he failed to drive in.

I wonder how many runners he failed to drive in.it's so obvious that he has 1 swing only, would be nice to see him make adjustments after 2 strikes. if the coaches aren't telling him this then we need new coaches quite frankly
Tuesday at 06:17 PM4 days Colson is a 2 outcome player. Strikeout or Home run. I wish he would learn how to lay off bad pitches but he just can't at this point and then we will look at one right down the middle. Edited Tuesday at 06:18 PM4 days by HoosierSox

Tuesday at 06:38 PM4 days Last night was the first time where I thought it looked like he was just throwing away his plate appearances due to his head not really being in the game at all. I don't mean it like he wasn't putting forth effort or anything, but in the sense that he looked like he really had no idea what he was doing. Made me wonder if he's the one about to go on bereavement leave.

Tuesday at 07:59 PM4 days A couple days before the Trade Deadline, I posted in some thread that I was curious what his trade value was then. The reaction was severe, like how can I possibly even think such a thought. I never recommended that we should trade him; just curious. I bet there's not much value now.
