No doubt a different time and place, a complete game is almost an impossibility these days. Only 18 so far this year in MLB and I’m surprised there have been that many. I rewatched some of the highlights of the 2005 ALCS and every Sox starter besides Buehrle threw more than 115 pitches to get the complete games that series. You're just not gonna see usage like that in today's game.
