In Getz's defense, the issue that needed to be addressed was pitching. The bats shouldn't be the reason this team is fading.

But that's exactly the case. The bats have completely let this team down. Say what you want about the pitching, it's hit and miss, but back to back days, the staff brought their stuff and the bats left them hanging out to dry.

Problem isnt the pitching soo much as the offense has totally choked. Pitching holding to 2 runs tonight but offense can't hit

This is probably the worst I've felt about this team all year. Boston was on a historic hot streak and that was also in June. For them to get swept by a .500 Pirates team at home in the middle of a division race is just embarrassing. They also only scored 5 runs the whole series. 3 of those were when they were down big in game 1..
