9/15 GT - White Sox @ Guardians (5:40pm CT)

Featured Replies

By the way the guy who got the game winning hit was 9th in the batting order...and yet again for this staff the hit came with two out.

We've seen opponents get a LOT of two out RBI hits this season.

  • This loss was on Will. Starting Murphy instead of Davis and gifting 3 runs to the Guardians in the 1st inning.

  • I don’t think anyone is mad at him. Rather he shouldn’t have been put in that position.

If Doyle had not been pinch hit for by Braden, Peters could have been in left instead of Antonacci. The game ends on Rochios's at bat when Peters catches that ball. Doyle had 2 hits already and Braden

That shouldn't be used to evaluate fielders, it's just about how often balls hit that hard and high are hits/outs. Ignores the pull/push aspects and the positioning of the fielders. In this case, I think it's going to make it look like a slightly harder catch than it was but we'll see.

Back on the Kolson "bandwagon"?

Also hitting around .100 during this stretch

at least he's more of a threat than Braden

Need him to play SS or 3B

I remember a couple of weeks ago DJ was saying Sam is better and looking like an outfielder out there now....he sure as hell didn't on that play.

It’s not even a question. Castillo isn’t starting. The question regarding Castillo is, “Will he start for the White Sox again in 2026?”

I don’t think he will.

No shot, mop up duty only

He didn't even swing at those off speed pitches. He was sitting fast ball.

He swung at strike two.

Hope you're right, he's finished.

Oh he did? Then even more so you throw the same pitch again but this time in the dirt, can't throw hittable fastballs when he already showed he can handle them

If that was true, don't you think they would have done a phantom IL stint instead of jettisoning Urquidy?

We are going to need an A+ pitching performance tomorrow

At least Colson hits lefties better than most.

Vargas to first Meidroth SS Antonacci 2B

Grichuk in LF or RF?

Doyle and Peters again?

They really could just not get swept this series and they have the tiebreaker but this game still sucks....plenty of blame to go around too.

Same lineup but Colson in for Mune and Quero or Teel in for Rogers

668 against rhp much better against lefties

710 ops overall with all those XB hits is crazy but just doesn't walk enough

that's said he has a terrible recent streak of plate appearances going now for 2-3 weeks

plus all the defensive misplays

Lineup rest of the season (regardless of LHP/RHP) should be:

  1. Ant 2B

  2. Chase SS

  3. Vargas 1B

  4. Grichuk RF

  5. Teel C

  6. Colson 3B

  7. Beni DH

  8. Peters LF

  9. Doyle CF

He is unplayable…went from must watch to I don’t ever want to watch again.

We're going against the baseball gods having two guys in the middle of the lineup that do almost nothing but strike out.

With Mune rn, it's a walk every 3 Ks lol

Very true and assuming they lose tomorrow it's not a given they will kick Detroit's ass. Those guys are now only five out, have won 8 of 11 and will be playing their asses off because they still have a chance.

Do you happen to have his route on a play last series (last game of the series) in Cleveland to end the 8th?

The catch probability on that one is 99% btw.

Watson also hit that ball harder and farther than Rocchio with a slightly higher xBA. The only saving grace might have been the higher launch angle (38 vs. 30).

We’ve won 2 of 3 Messik games this year.

In the three games Kay has thrown against Cleveland, he has given up 3 runs across 16 innings.

Tomorrow isn’t the slam dunk automatic win people are assuming it is for the Indians… and if the Sox DO win tomorrow, everyone will be feeling very differently.

We’ll have a 1.5 game lead in the standings and a 2.5 game lead in reality.

It sucks that they couldn’t step on their throats tonight when they had it in their hands… but they have a shot to turn it around.

FUCKING GO TIME.

Good s%*#, I would switch Beni with Kolson though...hell I'd put Peters in front of Kolson. Peters doesn't have Kolson's pop but at least he gives you good ABs and makes more contact

They do not have a chance. Pretty sure we win one game and we win the tiebreaker. Also keep in mind they have this win streak due to playing the Rockies and blue jays.

Looks great to me. We know that Venable and Getz would never allow it because of their bubble wrap treatment of Mune.

I would rather have Peters somewhere in the Top 4 slots
