The reason they do or don't make the postseason shouldn't come down to promoting Caleb Bonemer or not...

As it stands, they promoted Braden too early as well...and numerous posters were arguing he was he ready (offensively) after flying through the system in just one year after sitting out much of his draft year.

Or look what happened to Moncada the first time he was thrown into Boston's September/October...it was a disaster of epic proportions.

It's one of the many reasons they protected Benintendi/Devers in that Crochet trade.

If Mune/Kolson aren't going to bounce back...they will 100% need Bonemer and Cholowsky to succeed.

And who is a good comp to Bonemer then...since you will reject Moncada and Jenkins lol?

Except he had a full half season to get himself mentally ready for the pennant drive...that and the little issue of being a Top 5 hitter all time his first seven seasons.

Robin Ventura otoh famously struggled his first two weeks in the majors after being one of the most accomplished players in NCAA history and the Golden Spices winner...which made him rededicate himself to working on his defense and all other facets of his game.

Name one milb Top 30 hitter (prep draft, not NCAA) who has come up in this situation and actually thrived at the big league level....especially one with a K rate of 25% or higher.

And obviously that esteemed GM Chris Getz disagrees, as they are sending him to the Arizona Fall League instead.

What are you even talking about? This isn't a high school kid, he is in AA. Neither one of these guys were called up from HS.

That's how the majority of old school scouts look at the game...by comparison.

You won't find a single legit scouting report that doesn't have them included.

Can/would Bonemer contribute more against LHP than Montgomerys and Mune? Quite likely, that’s all that matters.

Yes, which means he has even less overall playing experience on his resume..

Still waiting for ANYONE to come up with a similar situation and that player succeeded instantly in the big leagues with their team having a 1 1/2 (or even 2 1/2) game lead with 12 games to play...?????
