No reason to pinch hit Brayden (who is not hitting ) for Doyle with a lead in the 6th. That cost us the game

Starting one of your worst pitchers as an opener cost the game first. This just put a nail in the coffin.

Didn't even bother turning this game on after last night. Detroit is going to sweep these bums. Season was all smoke and mirrors. Another poorly managed, poorly coached team. Awful trade deadline made

Sam took it upon himself to position himself to play ridiculously shallow and lean toward Center. Rocchio saw the gap and dumped the ball out there. Arguably it was the Manager's responsibility to call for a "no doubles defense" and motion Sam to play back.

It is too simplistic to blame Sam for not having the physical skills to play the outfield. He can play out there but he has to be smarter. He took it upon himself to make a decision that cost the game.

Literally your 1st assumption is wrong. Players are told where to play and adjust. It's not the old days anymore

How about we put up a 5 spot in the 1st and we all forget about last night

Their defense is diabolical

Cross Grichuk triple off your bingo card!

Grich is just amazing man. He absolutely crushed that.

Shocked, another fail with a runner on 3rd.

Kwan would have had that one...

Awful at bat. No way he’s healthy

Oh look, Pham playing already hurt them

fantastic start

Another guy who tried to pull everything. 2-1 pitch was perfect to just guide to right field.

Have to get that run but we don’t.

Sigh.

Just can't ever score that runner from third to save their lives.

Hey, but he caught Getz in the elevator.

I can’t express how bad of a look this whole Pham thing is on Getz and Venable.

They just don’t get it and I blame the hitting coach.

Do you think these idiots know Messick is way tougher on righties?

That is on Vargas. Hes been bad in those situations the last month or so. Too many K’s or double plays.

in a compromising situation?

these fascinations with guys like Clevinger and Pham are bizarro world stuff

Absolutely, he can go for all I care. He’s done a great job with the lesser named guys, but having your big “studs” complete flop can’t happen.
