9/16 White Sox - Guardians 6:10pm BST

Good pitching has always given the Sox fits this year. Bad pitching they crush, sure, but this entire season has a theme of not being able to handle good pitching. Not fighting enough. Not changing approaches against guys with good command. Then, you have 3 guys almost batting under .200 and one setting K records and another would be right along with him if not for a 6 week injury. I have a hard time believing the Sox want to be a boom or bust offense like this which would have ZERO chance in the playoffs against the best pitchers in the league. Shoman has got to go, and if someone else is telling Shoman to coach like this - they have to go.

Didn't even bother turning this game on after last night. Detroit is going to sweep these bums. Season was all smoke and mirrors. Another poorly managed, poorly coached team. Awful trade deadline made

If Mune gets the ABs, he will shatter Kolson's record next year.

He would have 255 with 155 GP.

Fireable offense if you ask me, zero sense of urgency.

You guys do know it’s not Will’s decision only on who starts

Quite clearly swung. Ball hit the dirt. Sucks to suck

Tommy Pham batting clean up is a fireable offense. THIS ISN'T A SPRING TRAINING GAME.

The $&@? eating grin in the post game presser is fireable enough.

I hope Getz sees everything that we see with Venable and his staff.

Can’t believe Acuna is playing

That doesn't explain success of Vargas Antonacci Peters Meidroth.

It worked well enough to lead the league in runs scored going into Sept stretch drive.

Only threw 2 strikes to Acuna

Yeah cause Getz is totally blameless )

I would say he’s fucked this up more than Venable.

How are you so sure?

Best part of the lockout is gonna be not having to watch Acuna play baseball

OPS under .500 against LHP now

Messick is almost as good as Skubal...

I wish I had looked at the Messick strikeout line before the game, because I could have just had money handed to me for free, regardless of what the number was.

He will go to Venezuela and hit 30 homers and Getz will sign him

That's where I struggle, with the leading the league in runs. I almost can't even believe it. They were just that good earlier this year. But hey, the league adjusted and we did not and now we are paying for it.

Ant, Chase and TP are guys who understand that power is not their only trick and approach at bats accordingly. It's no wonder they are doing well, they aren't just trying to pull everything for a HR.

In a game where 1st place is on the line, we have.....*checks notes*..... Tommy Pham hitting cleanup.

Forgot he was on the David Wells diet.

Not sure any pitching adds could have possibly worked out worse...

We are swinging at so many balls

He's going to be a problem for awhile. Too bad he's not anywhere near free agency... sigh

What ever happened to keeping your eye on the ball til contact and taking the ball the other way? These Sox hitters are looking in the pull side bleachers on every swing.
