Their most redeeming factor is being able to overcome devastating losses and just keep on keepin' on. That Tigers loss had a chance of being the nail in the coffin because of all the emotion, losing after being up 8-2... but they hung in there. And now we're talking about how close they were to a 4 game sweep instead of a shitty series loss.

One common denominator of our last two wins was no Acuna and no Rogers in the lineup. Let’s keep it that way if we can, and let’s ignore the splits, because everyone else is better than these two guys.

Here is an interesting stat: The Sox have won their last 8 games before an off-day. This dates back to June 24th.

The bad news: They are 2-5 in the games after the off-day in that same span.

The problem was that Sandlin imploded so quickly and gave up 3 runs in 4 hitters.

That is one of the three games when all is said and done you can make the case that cost the Sox the divisional title and the #2 seed.

The others of course were the game in Boston where they were one strike away from winning and the game in Cleveland Tuesday when the same thing took place.

Two more wins for a winning season.

I really hope Will finally ignores them, Sox are scheduled to face lefty starters in 3 of the final 6 games

Some really nice at bats where guys didn’t get themselves out by swinging at junk. Keep it up!

hopefully this means the offense can catch fire a bit to end the season. I have this weird feeling Cleveland might lose 1 or 2 more games so this will be tough
