Nomar

Nomar just hurt himself, had to come out of the game. Looked like a groin injury after he tried to run to first base.

it must be to cold in st. louis

LOL, Flubs message boards are crashing everywhere because of it.

I don't wish injury on anyone. That .150 average was hurting the team itself.

ESPN is reporting that Nomar has a soft groin muscle tear. He's OUT indefinately. It's time for the Cubs to ride the Neifi Perez train!

That engine still running? Now Dusty will be forced to play Jr. Harriston

Murph on the Score is reporting 6-8 weeks. Ouch! (literally and figuratively)

It kind of makes you wince just reading about it.

Yeah, that is rough. I actually kinda liked Nomar compared to the other jags on the Cub. That's too bad. I'm sure Mia isn't gonna be too pleased with this news :)

I was just lookin at some stats. Zambrano has a .455 AVg. compared to Nomars .157 :bang . Also, Nomar only has 2 more RBIs then Zambrano. :bang

BostonDirtDogs.com already has it covered...

ANOTHER INJURY FOR CUB'S SHORTSTOP:

Nomar Goes Down Hard After Swing with What Appeared to Be a Groin Injury. He Had to Be Carried Off the Field.

Expect Peter Gammons to stop by and give it a rub down... MOVE OVER MIA!!!

He'll have to get in line, Dusty Baker will be waiting in the clubhouse to rub down his groin with holy water.

How is Gammons going to be able to explain how Nomar will be the N.L. MVP even though he's set to miss 2 months now? Nomar = injury-prone.

Ouch. I can't help but feel bad. That looks painful as hell...

I don't wish an injury on any player, but if someone has to be hurt it might as well be a Cub

Now, Zambrano looks to be hurt as well (though it just looks like a blister).

Hawkins almost blew another one. lol. That Nomar injury looked painful. Damn, 6-8 weeks? Oh well, the Slubs knew he was a big time injury risk when they traded for him.

Wow, this guy has just been star crossed the last few years. Now this.

can some get a photoshop pic of dusty and the holy water

Ditto..

WGN radio reporting that Nomar's groin muscle was completely ruptured. Surgury likely. Out at least 3 months.
