I hate to think this way but if Carl DHed today, Podsednick played LF and Rowand if CF- that 3rd run for the Tigers doesn't score as Rowand would have made that catch in the 7th to prevent that tieing run from scoring.

Shingo is starting to look serviceable again. If he could regain his form, it would be huge for the Sox bullpen.

This is just the type of game neither team can afford to lose after putting so much into it for almost 12 innings now.

Freddy is going to have to throw a gem tommarow.

That could be the biggest development of this game. He had been more effective lately, but this may solidify that in Ozzie's mind, and in Shingo's mind.

Shingo servicable? What a boost that would be for us in the 2nd half.
