The kid drank the milk in the alotted time frame (an hour), but couldn't hold it down, thus losing the bet. Now that he's been suspended, we're guessing the players will take care of him, as it sounds like he provided them at least $500 worth of entertainment during the ordeal. On another note, I wouldn't recommend doing the gallon challenge. My buddy did it last year and he was sore for about a day. He was about a sip away from doing it before he "lost" it. The sound was funny, though, as it sounded like someone dumped a bucket of water into the toilet.

I drank 2/3 of a gallon in 20 minutes. I couldn't go on, and eventually it came back up. :puke

I don't know why at all. He said his muscles hurt and it was almost like his bones hurt. He's not the brightest, though, as evidenced by the fact that he said he's going to try it again this year.

I believe you physically can't goldmember, that's why its a sucker bet. Stupid suspension though. Sounds like simple dugout fun. When did this happen if it was Penny and the Marlins. Was it when the Dodgers just played them?

You guys should spend a summer on a trading floor. This stuff happens all of the time when people with money get bored. I remember seeing someone try to eat 20 Big Macs in an hour, 60 recies cups in an hour, this same milk stunt, hold a CBOE rules and regs book over their head for 45 minutes, and many many people getting tails.

The average stomach only can hold 2 liters or 6 cups of food/liquid at one time.

Go ahead and try. I thought I could do it with 1%, but the problem is when you start burping it hurts your chest and you can feel the milk trying to come up.

Trust me, you can't. My friend is a big boy, and he couldn't do it, though he came close. This same kid ate 5 whoppers with everything in an hour and drank something like 8 cups of pop a minute or two.

 

EDIT: And he ate breakfast about an hour before the whoppers and ate a big dinner later in the day.
