the sox are still 4 games up on the loss side of either bos or ny with 5 to play....we are esentially in the playoffs.

This game starts what is essentially a 5-game series for the Sox, win 3 games and the division is won. Yeah, it may take less than that but this is the way they should approach things and get back on track for the playoffs.
