I may have cried but that's not the point.

Journey still sucks . . . they always will.

This is probably the greatest moment in Chicago Sports history.

and now AFV???this day can't get any better!!!

Chicago and downtown have never looked so awesome. The parade coming down Lasalle complete with thousands of fans decked out in Sox gear, ticker tape, fireworks, the WS trophy and the JETS OVERHEAD is one of the most beautiful things my eyes have ever seen.

Now I know why fans are so heartbroken when their team doesn't repeat the follwing year. I want to feel just like this every day of every season.

Just a small town girl, livin’ in a lonely world

She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere

Just a city boy, born and raised in south chicago

He took the midnight train goin’ anywhere

A singer in a smokey room

A smell of wine and cheap perfume

For a smile they can share the night

It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard

Their shadows searching in the night

Streetlight people, living just to find emotion

Hiding, somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill,

Everybody wants a thrill

Payin’ anything to roll the dice,

Just one more time

Some will win, some will lose

Some were born to sing the blues

Oh, the movie never ends

It goes on and on and on and on

(chorus)

Don’t stop believin’

Hold on to the feelin’

Streetlight people

Jenks...from now on, you have to edit the Detroit line to say "Born and raised in SOUTH CHICAGO".

Only a bandwagoner Journey fan would say that. :P :gosox1:

Hell, I can't stand Journey. But some things are more important than that. Hell, if the Sox had picked a Creed song this year I'd still have listened to them sing it today. I may have shot myself or gouged out my eardrums afterwards, but I'd still be listenin.

So true, especially the gouged eardrums part.

Just got back from the parade, it was incredible. I was there really early and the wait kinda sucked but it was worth it!

The only thing funnier than how cheesy this song is....is how badly I had screwed up a few of the lyrics.

Here are some of the pics i took....

where are the dancing Ewoks?

I took about 50-60 pics from various locations and about 2minutes of video.

First saw the parade at Jackson, then ran to Monroe, then went to Wacker and watched the rally.

The speacker on the East side of Lasalle kept breaking and if you were on that side you could not see the tv screens. Luckily when people got to move closer to Lasalle I jumped the metal fencing and went with them and got decently close for pictures.

Not sure how they will turn out.

And at certain points people were yelling at this kid who had a sign that was blocking view, and they booed US Cellular rep.

The sign absolutely sucked it said:

Win or Dye Hitting.

Which makes no sense as the or means if they are winning then Dye isnt hitting, or if they are losing Dye is hitting. The proper sign would of been Win and Dye Hitting.

But it was a jackass kid.

Haha, I remember seeing that sign on one of the TV broadcasts right before the rally.
